Dimensions: 12'L x 10 1/2'H x 5'W

Overall dimensions:
15'L x 3'W x 10'H with lid rack on top / without lid rack 15'L x 3'W x 7'H
Conveyor width: 4 inches

Product Features:

  • Quick, tool-less can size changeovers without equipment configuration changes
  • Narrow-in/narrow-out configuration. Can now be loaded with a low-profile pallet jack, removing need for continuous use of forklift in daily operations
  • No pneumatics. Sweeper arm is force sensing and operated by linear drive; Customizable frequency and force for optimal precision during sweeping
  • Adjustable vibrator significantly reduces noise
  • Updated 7” touchscreen display for improved operator control
  • Automated sub-routines assist initial set up, including initial tier sheet removal and height-sensor adjustments

Process:

The conveyer belt carries cans to the first gate located just after the fill head. This gate has a dual function of A)
stopping and holding cans under the fill head, and B) opening just long enough to allow the six filled cans to pass
by after fill cycle is complete.
• The fill head waits for twelve cans to accumulate underneath it before lowering. The first set of six cans are filled
with beer. The second set of six cans are purged with CO2 removing the oxygen from the empty can. When the
beer level reaches the level probes at all six filling stations, the fill stops, the head rises, and the gate opens to
allow the six filled cans through and stops the six purged cans under the raised fill tubes.
• The filled cans leave the gate, pass under the lid dispenser where the leading edge of each can grabs a lid as it
passes under the slide, pulling a lid onto the top of each can. The area immediately under the lid dispenser and
the dome under the can lid are purged with CO2 during the process. Lids are automatically dispensed by the lid
slide sensor to keep the lid slide full at all times.
• Cans then stop at the carousel. The carousel acts both to stop the flow of cans down the conveyor, and to allow
the can in place sensor to see the can and trigger the carousel to rotate a 1⁄8 of a turn to the lid check location
where a sensor checks the can for a lid. This lid check allows another can to enter the carousel.
• The carousel then rotates another 1⁄8 of a turn placing a can onto the can lift table. If the lid sensor senses no lid,
the can is not seamed and is rotated off the can lift table for auto rejection. This rotation is triggered by the can
in place sensor every time a new can enters the carousel.
• Once on the can lift table the can is raised into the chuck, which spins the can. The #1 Die pushes into chuck
making the first seaming operation, followed by #2 Die which completes the seam, then the can lift table lowers.
• The lowered can is then rotated by the carousel off the seamer table and placed onto the scale where the can is
then weighed and tracked. This rotation is triggered by the can in place sensor to place a new can onto the seamer
table.
• After the can is weighed and tracked, the carousel rotates a 1⁄8 turn. Depending on if the can has a lid or is out of
the can weight rejection set points, the can may go onto the reject collection tray or the outfeed conveyor.
• A can will only be placed onto the reject tray if the can has no lid, it is under the set reject weight amount, or if it
is over the set reject weight amount.
• Once the can is on the outfeed conveyor, the can is carried through the washer/dryer, the top of the can being
washed with water which is turned on when a can is placed onto the conveyor. Water will turn off based on a
timer triggered from the carousel minimizing water consumption. Next passing by a can sensor to engage the air
dryer drying the top of the can. This minimizing the airflow through the dryer.
• After which the final product is carried to the collection table.
