Osgood Inline Filling Machine for Preformed Cups. Md#8700. S/N 341280. 28,800 Cups Per Hour.
This Model 8700-S simultaneously dispenses, fills, and discharges containers in one quiet, clean and completely automatic process. Containers are stacked by operating personnel into the Cup Magazine. Individual containers are mechanically separated at the Cup Dispenser, and then seated in specially designed Cup Holders. Cup Holders position the containers, by means of an indexing conveyor, for all subsequent phases of the packaging operation. The Tamp Down Station ensures the containers are properly seated in the Cup Holder. When the container reaches the Fill Nozzle Station(s), it is correctly positioned and accurately filled. Weight control adjustments are simplified with the use of HMI (Human Machine Interface) software. This interface ensures that production stops are kept to a minimum. Next, the container reaches the Heat Seal / Roll-stock Station where material is cut to shape, and then sealed to the container by a combination of heat, pressure, and duration of seal. The container reaches the discharge station upon completing the dispensing process where it is ejected from the cup holder and deposited onto the discharge conveyor. Features: Computer controlled programmable PLC and Human Interface (HMI) system. Variable-speed drive. Electronically controlled adjustments for each station assembly. Heavy duty stainless steel construction. CIP *(Clean in Place): 40 gallon per minute flow requirement at 25 psi, 480v, 60amp-Main drive Machine Built in Safety Features: All doors are 72-inch in height, preventing human appendage intrusion into machine moving components. All doors are safety interlocked through the Master Control Relay, using a hard contact for positive shutoff. Easily accessible Safety Emergency Stop Buttons (E-STOP) are provided on the machine. Electrical enclosure has a main disconnect (lockout) which removes all electrical potential from the machine. This machine was last used for infant food products. Machine was built in 2009. Operating manuals, electrical schematics and SOP maintenance procedures are available with machine. Presently set up for 6 oz and 7.5 oz container.
