DESCRIPTION:
Geelen Technik Counterflow Cooler VS14X14HKWRVS-B

  • Counterflow Cooler System
  • Stainless steel construction
  • Cyclone
  • Inclined conveyor
  • Piping

  • Attached is manufactures specification book
  • Counterflow principle cooler:
The product is coming in through the inlet valve and is distributed on the discharging deck. Due to the
under pressure at the air exhaust, ambient air is entering the air inlets and flows through the product. With
the product flowing down and the air moving upward through the product, the counterflow exchange of
    heat and mass is created
  • The air system consists of a fan, cyclone (or filter) and optionally an air flow control system by means of air
flow control valve or fan motor frequency converter
  • The warm product enters the bin (4) through the inlet rotary valve (1). The inlet valve ensures that the
product continuously flows into the cooler.
Underneath the inlet rotary valve a product distributor (3) can be mounted, which ensures equal
distribution of the product over the discharger. There are three types of product distributors:
    • Stationary product distributors
    • Rotary product distributors with a constant rotational speed
    • Rotary product distributors with a variable rotational speed (reduced speed in corners)
The product is being cooled in the bin by the air flow, entering the bin through the dischargers valve plates
    (5) and leaving the bin through the air outlet (10). Product layer height is controlled by a level sensor (8),
which is adjustable in height. The level sensor ensures that the product layer is kept under a
predetermined height. As soon as product activates the level sensor the discharger (5), is operated and
product is discharged into the hopper (6). The discharge cycle consists of moving the valves to their open
position and immediately back to close position. After a discharge the level sensor is checked again. If
there is still product at the operating level, another discharge cycle will follow. Discharging stops as soon as the product gets below the level sensor. In order to prevent overflow, the cooler has been provided with
an overflow sensor (9), which stops product supply to the cooler

    REMOVAL COST: TBD
